Can't wait to hear it–I had a bandmate with an alnico 12" in a 18 watt deluxe mojo kit amp, sounded unbelievable. were gonna try and squeeze this baby into a pimped out vibro-champ...

I just have to thank you, this speaker is absolute magic, profound harmonics resolution, I am very grateful indeed. The sound has never been this good before, it's a whole new tone thing.

I just get the package and what can I say.
I am wery satisfied with tone tubby speakers. I dont have to use attenuators, pedals ... couse finally I am not to loud when I open my jtm45.

Thanx again and I hope many more people will hear obout your speakers and save their ears : )

All the best from Ljubljana....   Janez

The 8" alnico speaker is fantastik!
I love the vintage Jensen style basket and look.
Sounds much better than my previous 8" speaker for my 1 Watt Muddy Byddy amp.
Now ALL of my amps use hemp cone speakers and sound better because of it !

I also tried the ceramic 8" speaker you sent me earlier, but I prefer the Alnico version, even for distortion sounds.

Thank You,
Chris

Just a quick one, but I wanted to give you immediate feedback. The 8" Alnico arrive today and on getting home immediately soldered up the leads and installed the speaker.

Good god man, this thing is wonderful! The tonal characteristics are well within the original Fender speaker (Jensen) sound, but better.  I've  got "that tone" back, the one that the Weber Signature Alnico was lacking, but it's more musical than the original. Although I usually play pretty clean, breakup is smooth and great when I go there, and the harmonics, they're shining through. What a great speaker, you've got a winner here, just waiting for it to break in to really hear the subtleties. I am delighted.

The setup is my favorite for recording:
'65 Vibro Champ (all original)
NOS Blackplate RCA all around, with long plate 12ax7 Custom guitar with Seymour Duncan Antiquity Surfs Lee Jackson Mr. Springgy

Now that's a righteous sound!

Deepest respect and gratitude,

Samantha Lewis

Hi,

A fellow has some Tone Tubby Speakers. I hear they are lovely sounding.  I am going to make a pine cabinet for him. From your experimentations and listening tests with many cabinets. What did you prefer for the Tone Tubby speaker, #1 pine free of knots and lightweight. Or #2 pine, a little denser, and with knots, like vintage Fender Tweeds?  Would love to hear your comparisons on different woods for cabinets when testing your speakers. Take Care Kyle

Happy New Year!!!  I came over last week with a new Tone
Tubby 40/40 speaker that was breaking up at even the lowest volume and had
an odd buzz as well.  You guys gave me a replacement and I installed it into
my Fender Blues Jr.  Wow!!!  The speaker sounded so good that I just played
on throughout the entire evening.  I can't wait to hear it when it's fully
broken in.  I'm buying and recommending Tone Tubby from now on.  I'm very
impressed with the quality of the speaker and customer care.  Have a great
year.
