Q: How did you get your name?
A: It all started in 1974 when todays owner and CEO John Harrison moved from Atlanta Georgia to Marin County California, and found a music rehearsal space on Joseph Court in San Rafael. A couple months later, his band blew a speaker and needed reconing. John asked around and the nearest place was in Oakland California, his reply was , not anymore, A Brown Soun was born. The name came right away. You see, John sees sound in color and his favorite tone is from a 1959 Les Paul through a Marshall stack on 10 and that color is Brown. While it may sound nuts to most, there is an Eddie VanHalen website that talks about his favorite tone, The Brown Sound, go figure. About the "no d" on sound, well that just sounded better in the seventies.
Q:How do I pack my speakers for shipment?
A:The best way to pack your woofers is face to face, wired or
bolted together and wraped in bubble wrap. Please no peanuts.
Place them in a strong box with plenty of padding so they don't
move around. It is best to place them in the box with the magnets
on the top and bottom rather then on their sides.
With large woofers (15's and 18's) it is best to use separate boxes.
Our return shipments are UPS ground.
